The spirit of our festival extends far beyond the music. For over 30 years, our hookah family has celebrated freedom from the stresses of everyday life twice a year. We mark our calendars and come together to build a peaceful community. A place where kind strangers from all walks of life can gather to sing, dance, and play in the middle of a field. A place to reconnect with and nurture our inner child.

As a band and festival, existing in a time and space where there are more music festival events than ever, we feel that our continued dedication to protecting the core mission of our event and community is what sets us apart from almost every other festival band today. We are hosting the first annual car show in remembrance of our dear friend Marlina Medrano. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome. Sponsored by : Mighty Muffler LLC, Jim Matheny Kar Shoz, Roost on the River Music Centre, and Lynette’s BBQ. Awards will be presented at 2:30 PM Food by: Lynette’s Country BBQ. Roost on The River Music Centre opens in south Newark

Newark Advocate – It started out as planning a birthday party, and now Sheri Mertz and Devon White have opened a music venue on the south side of Newark. Early this fall Mertz and White, who love listening to local bands, decided after having a DJ for White’s birthday party last year, they wanted to get two local bands to play at the party at their home. Things took off from there. Mertz and White purchased an old stage from Legend Valley, friends who do sound and lighting for concerts in Akron agreed to help, and getting the bands didn’t take much effort. “They had six bands in 20 minutes ready to come play and get this venue off the ground,” Mertz said.
