Early this fall Mertz and White, who love listening to local bands, decided after having a DJ for White’s birthday party last year, they wanted to get two local bands to play at the party at their home. Things took off from there. Mertz and White purchased an old stage from Legend Valley, friends who do sound and lighting for concerts in Akron agreed to help, and getting the bands didn’t take much effort. “They had six bands in 20 minutes ready to come play and get this venue off the ground,” Mertz said.
